Thinking Styles of Prospective Teachers: An Empirical Study

Abstract


The present study evaluates the distribution of thinking styles among  prospective teachers. The Sternberg-Wagner Thinking Styles Inventory (Sternberg, 1997) was administered on 100 students of Bachelor of Education course of two colleges of education affiliated to Kurukshetra  University, Kurukshetra. Results indicated some interesting patterns of thinking styles of prospective teachers. In the present study, the investigators have made an attempt to find out the prevalent thinking styles among prospective teachers and how these thinking styles affected their teaching.
